Lyrics

Conformity Of Belief

Everyone
Look at me
I'm in a wheelchair
Can't move past my knees

Should I be stupid?
Head lolling and drooling?
I think not
But who am I fooling?

Everyone
Look at me
Eighty going strong
Hard of hearing, can barely see

Should I be in a nursing home?
Sedated with meds?
I think not
But that's what's in your head

You see me and think
Stay away, don't come near
You're a slave to popular belief
You've accepted what you hear

Everyone
Look at me
Black homie G
With a pair of Timbs and gold teeth

Should I be in a gang?
Bust a cap in yo' ass?
I think not
But that idea seems to pass

Everyone
Look at me
I wear dark clothes
Body piercings that are spiky

Should I worship the devil?
Do drugs and black magic?
I think not
But that's how you'd have it

You see me and think
Stay away, don't come near
You're a slave to popular belief
You've accepted what you hear

Like everyone else
You assume way too much
Your beliefs have comformed
To what society has taught
