Lyrics

Grandpa's Last Words

I took his
Weak hands in mine
To us he spoke
His last lines

To speak
He turned his head
Looked at us,
And this is what he said

Grandchildren,
You all grew so fast
But this time that I see you,
It'll be my last

So stay
Here at my side
Dry your tears,
It's hard not to cry

And be strong
This won't take long
I'm glad
To see you because

I missed you and
I love you and
Seeing you here
Is like a grandpa's wish come true

Now it's time
For me to leave
But I'll always stay alive
Forever in your memory

Soon I'll meet you again
But this is my end

And he was gone

I'll always
Miss the way
He complained
About kids today

The way
That he mocked
With his
Itlaian talk

The stories
He told
Of back in the
Days he wasn't old

And his
Italian cooking
The way
He's always joking

But that's gone

His last breath
Has been spent
A lot to
Him we meant

His last wish
Has been granted
Last days
Have been frantic

He saw us again
That was his end

Now he's gone
