I heard a little girl crying, "Where is my Mama, tonight?
Her leaving me alone, just don't seem right!
Where is my Mama, can't she hear me pray?
I have things only to my Mama I can say.
Where is my Mama, why isn't she with me?
They say Mama's gone, this just can't be!
Where is Mama, why didn't she kess me goodnight?
Maybe when I wake, Mama will be home by daylight!
Where is my Mama, why isn't she at home?
Why did she leave me so sad and all alone?
I want my Mama, on this dark wintry night!
I want my Mama to kiss and hold me tight.
Oh, Please, Mama, how can you shut me out?
I am too young to know what life is about.
Don't you know it is nearing Christmas season
A time to be near without rhyme or reason.
I know Jesus loves me, he loves you, too.
How could you leave me alone so sad and blue?
Jesus said, "Whatever you reap, you must sew."
Please, Mama, come home, for I love you so!
