PORTRAIT OF GOD’S LOVE FOR ALL
CHAPTER I
Ephesians 1:17-22
The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: 18. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.19. And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighy power.20. Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, 21. Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church. 23. Which is His body, the fullness of Him that filleth all in all.
John 1:1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. (Christ, Divine Creator, the eternal Word)
4. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. 9. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10. He was in the world, and the world was made by Him. (Christ, the Life and the True Light of men, which lighteth every man)
11. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. 12. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: 13. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (He gave power to those who received Him, that believe on His name, to become the sons of God, born of God by the will of God, not by the will of flesh or the will of man)
14. The Word was made flesh and dwelt among
us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father)
full of grace and truth. 16. And of His fullness have all we received, and
grace for grace. 17. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came
by Jesus Christ. 18. No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten
Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. (Christ, The
only begotten Son which is in the bosom of the Father, Who was made flesh,
declared the Father and gave us His fullness, grace and truth)
Ephesians Ch. 1:1, Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints…the faithful in Christ Jesus: 3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4. According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will. 8. Wherein He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; 9. Having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself: 10. That in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him: 11. In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will:(God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, having chosen us, predestinated us in Him before the foundation of the world, unto Himself to the good pleasure of His will, accepted in the beloved, redeemed through His blood, abounding in all wisdom and prudence; having made known unto us the mystery of His will that in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one ALL THINGS in Christ, predestined to the purpose of Him; having obtained an inheritance to be to the praise of His glory)
Paul’s prayer to the saints, the faithful in Christ Jesus. 17. The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: 18. Ch.2:1 And you has He quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins:(All these blessings became ours when we were quickened together with Christ, wrought in Christ by the Father of glory when He raised Him from the dead and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places)
Chapter 2:4-6,, God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, 5. Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;) 6. And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. (Even while we were dead in sins, the Father of glory quickened us together with Christ and raised us up together in Him to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus)
7. That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8. For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9. Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them. (We have nothing to boast about for even the faith to believe in Christ is by grace, a gift of God. Not of works lest any man should boast, but we are His workmanship, from the beginning, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, before ordained that we should walk in them)
Paul’s prayer for us in Hebrews 13:20-21, Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 22. Make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (The Father of glory who raised our Lord Jesus from the dead, through His blood covenant He makes us perfect in every good work to do His will, working in us that which is wellpleasing in His sight. All is done by Him through His Son Jesus Christ; to whom be All the glory forever and ever. Amen and Amen!)
