The Thorns finally got their 1st win and it was without manager Russell and assistant manager Atty. Chris Barr took charge of the Thorns for this game.

There were 3 changes to last week's defeat with me coming in for James, Tom for the injured Declan and the fit again Kenny Lee in for Goode. Declan missed the game due to a training ground accident with Geoghegan.
The Thorns started the game as the better team and took the lead through Kenny Lee wasting no time in scoring after spending the rest of the season out injured. The lead was doubled mid way through the 1st half after a Kenny Lee shot was followed in by Shrimpy Junior the score his 2nd of the season.
The Thorns hadley looked threatened in the game but just before half time Bartley Green Social hit a ball over the top and scored the one on one to half the lead for us. This was against the run of play and after a good half time performance the Thorns were leading 2-1.
The Thorns were rarely threatened in the 2nd half. Murph had to go with an injury mid way through the 2nd half. Ston came on for him. Tom had to move to centre back, Shrimpy Junior moved to left back and Ston played left midfield.
Towards the end of the game Kenny Lee had a one on one which their keeper saved, he then scored from the following corner to secure the first victory for the Thorns.
Man of the match was new boy Tom in good first performance.
