The team to face Singh Saba was the following:
Shrimpy Senior, James, Murphy, Hagley Nick, Declan, Connell, Gaz, Geoghegan, Shrimpy Junior, Hatty, Goode. Sheils: Kevin (for James HT), Adjei (for Goode 2nd), Ronan (for Hatty 2nd)
The team was unchanged from the impressive cup game against Old Cross. Kenny Lee was still unavailable through injury.
This was a poor performance by The Thorns after a much improved performance against the Old Cross last week. The Thorns were 2-0 down at half time but it should of been more. Goode had the best chance for us with a one on one but the shot was saved by the keeper.
At half time I came on for James. Connell had the best chance in the 2nd half for the Thorns with a free-kick being saved by the Singh Saba goalkeeper. The third goal for Singh Saba came off a rebound after a good save from Shrimpy.
There was a double change mid way through the 2nd half with the 2 strikers, Hatty and Goode going off and Adjei and Ronan came on. Connell joined Adjei up front with Ronan playing centre midfield and Geoghegan moving to the right.
Singh Saba's fourth goal came from the penalty spot after Murphy had fouled one of Singh Saba's players in the box. The last goal came from a corner with the corner coming on they shot I cleared off the line and they scored the rebound.
Next week we are playing Bartley Green Social Colts and the performance needs to be improved. Hagley Nick was once again man of the match for us, now being named man of the match 3 out of 4 games.
