Moo Fighters
     After the partners had ridden on the train in almost complete silence for an hour

or so, Tinkerbell finally spoke up.

       "Now then, once we get to Tatorville, Pennsylvania, we'll find an old country

store called 'Marmie's Save-a-Bit'. That's where Froggy is said to appear frequently."

        Rich shuddered when she heard Froggy's name; he sure seemed like a

vicious character.  She needed to get her mind off this cold-blooded killer, so she

decided to change the subject.

        "So, Tink...tell me about your current love-life.  Do you have a certain, special

heifer-friend right now?"

        Tink was a little surprised at Rich's boldness, but he kept his cool.

        "Nah, Rich...not since...well, I mean..."

        "I know, Tink.  Not since me," Richard supplied.  So, whatever happened to us,

anyway?"

         Tink glanced at her.  "Well, as I recall, you were the one who broke things off,

Rich."

          Rich quickly replied, "
You were the one who turned in my poor uncle Ralph!"

          "That's because he was a murderer!" shouted Tinkerbell.

          For a few moments, the two cows fell silent on the lonely train car.  Tink's guilt

finally got the best of him.

          "I'm sorry, Rich.  Really."  They rode in 'udder' silence until the train came to a

stop in Tatorville.

                                            ~~~~~~~~~~~
          They arrived in Tatorville a few hours later, and both cows were more than
ready to get up and move around a bit.  As soon as they got off the train, Richard
spotted a grocery store.  It wasn't 'Marmie's', but Rich figured the owners could
probably give them directions on how to get there.  They quickly approached the
store but entered somewhat hesitantly.  Tink was first to speak.
          "Hey there."  Tink's greeting was directed toward a befuzzed-looking bag-boy.
          "Hi," he responded, "how can I help you?"  Tink noticed that the boy's name
tag read 'Ryan'.
          "Well, we're looking for a 'Marmie's Save-a-Bit.'  Could you tell us how to get
there?"
          "Sure.  Go about 4 miles down the road and then turn right onto 5th street.  It's
on the corner - you can't miss it."
         "Okay, thanks."  Tink and Rich left the store and (since there were no taxi
services in Tatorville) started walking.
         An hour later, the exhausted crime-fighting partners finally arrived at Marmie's
Save a Bit.  It was an old, wooden country market with your stereotypical country
folk casually strolling in and out.  They quickly made their way to the freezer, both
cringing as they passed by the meat products.  The cows selected bottles of Evian
and brought them to the front of the store, where they would make their purchase.
They walked up to get in the shortest check-out line and noticed a pig behind the
counter.
        He greeted them, "Afternoon."
        "Good afternoon," replied Tink.  "Say, uh...tell me about your customers in
here.  I can see you have the basic business of country people, but have you seen
any suspicious characters lately?"
        The pig temporarily paused his duties and stared at the ceiling.  He pondered a
moment before answering, "Well...now that you mention it, one fellow that came in
was a little crazy lookin'."
        "Well, Sir, could you please describe him for us?"  Rich inquired.
        "Let me think.  He was a tall, hairy...thing.  Kinda looked a bit like a snowman."
        "Ah HAH!"  Tink thought.  "Well, did you speak to him?"
        "Yeah, I did.  He came up to my line.  I noticed that he had a lot of hamburger
and and hotdog buns with him."
        Rich and Tink glanced at each other and both tried to hide their terror.  The
pork continued, "I nicely asked him what he was gonna do with all those buns, and
he mentioned something about having a big cookout.  He even invited me to it."
