Why Am I Here?

Because there is a real World out there and it's worth knowing.

And why not? I don't believe that we CREATE reality, though we certainly control our own perceptions of the same. There's a developing Psychological model out there known as Perceptual Control Theory which sees all living things as CONTROL SYSTEMS. A Control System is a cybernetic circuit which operates by adjusting its perceptions of some quantity. How does it adjust its perceptions? Using some goal [say a certain temperature] it tries to achieve that goal via some process that it regulates [say the desire to get cool] and constantly adjusts the result via NEGATIVE FEEDBACK.
