"Detained" The above date is when Dean Stockwell will be guest-starring on "Enterprise". This is a very important event. It has been NINE YEARS since Dean and Scott have worked together onscreen. This is not the only reason to watch "Detained" (the episode in question). There is also the fact that Universal will be paying close attention to the ratings, and especially the viewer reactions, to "Detained" to determine whether or not there is enough demand for a Quantum Leap movie. A member of the Trek BBS by the name of Raziel brought up a very good point about why Universal would do such a thing. "Anyway," Raziel said, "Let me say that it probably doesn't matter how stupid the writing is or what character flaws become necessary to facilitate their ending up in a detention centre. "What TPTB will be looking for, as far as a QL movie is concerned, is the dynamic between Dean Stockwell and Scott Bakula. If you want to make a positive contribution to the QL movie don't write in praising the episode. Write in, slag the episode and say that in spite of it, the chemistry and acting ability of DS and SB shined through. "To restate, IMHO the episode itself is largely irrelevant. It is the chemistry and the fan reaction to DS/SB scenes that TPTB will be looking for... "Be specific in your praise." I couldn't have said it better myself. Here is something else that most people should be interested in: THE VIDEOLAND VIEW: "Quantum Leap" co-stars Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell are reunited when Stockwell guests on an episode of Bakula's UPN "Enterprise" series. Stockwell says they play adversaries in the episode airing April 24, but that "the character I'm playing doesn't get killed, so it's a pretty open door for having that character return." He adds it was like old times with Bakula. "We get along so great ... we had such a good time on the set we had everybody laughing." Excerpt

Just a suggestion: We REALLY ought to quote Dean in our letters to Universal... Let them know that Dean himself had a good time being around Scott again. ~~R. TV-Guide Summary: Enterprise
Dean Stockwell appears in a well-written tale that reunites him with his former Quantum Leap costar Scott Bakula. The story opens with Archer (Bakula) and Mayweather (Anthony Montgomery) in a Tandaran prison alongside members of the shapeshifting Suliban. Col. Grat (Stockwell), the commandant, explains that the Tandarans are at war with the Suliban and that Archer's shuttle was impounded after it entered a restricted area. “You might think about putting up a `no trespassing' sign,” quips Archer. But Archer's not amused when a prisoner (Dennis Christopher) tells him the Suliban---women and children included---are being imprisoned solely because of their race. Cast:
Scott Bakula (Jonathan Archer), Connor Trinneer ("Trip" Tucker), Jolene
Blalock (T'Pol), Dominic Keating (Malcolm Reed), Anthony Montgomery (Travis
