We are"Heatwave". L-R, Denise, Kim, Janeen and Chelsey. Heatwave specializes in singing four part, a cappella barbershop harmony. We Quartet Singers sing in the southeast Florida area, including Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach.

We "Quartet Singers" are Sally and Janeen, mother and daughter, and our various quartets. Janeen was the original lead (she sings the melody) in Heatwave. I, Sally, sing baritone, but not currently with a quartet. We have sung together sometimes, as in the picture of Generation Gap, below. Look for current Heatwave links below for pictures and more. Janeen is a fourth generation "barbershopper." My dad, Ray Alt, sang lead in Four Shades of Harmony (see picture) with his dad, John, baritone, and my uncle Harry, tenor, in the very first family quartet, in the SPEBSQSA (barbershop harmony chorus) chapter in Baltimore, MD in the 1930's and 40's.
