Dreams do Come True
The town was dark and quiet as Taro slipped in, unseen. She scurried to her room to grab a backpack, a blanket, and then she raided the kitchen of most edible things. Then looking around as she stepped out of the door, she shifted the backpack, holding the cocoon wrapped in the blanket, she ran back into the woods. When she was a safe distance she stopped and sat down, panting. It was now, when she heared the strange sounds in the forest, she realized that she was alone. Fear gripped her as this one fact dawned on her. She shook off the feeling and grabben the backpack and began again down her invisable path.
It had taken longer than she had though to get to the other side of the woods to her Aunt's house. She was fianly there. She hesitated as she raised a fist to knock, but then followed through with her inital movements. She waited as she heared movements inside. Then as the door opened she saw her Aunt's smiling face. "Taro! What a nice surprize! Come in dear!" Taro stepped in and heard a scraping of claws and a blue flash zip by her, nearly nocking her off her feet. and Chronus yelled, "Lili, come get Tao!" "Okay Chronus!" an unfamiliar voice answered. "Tao?" Taro said questioningly, "Taorian. A male zap egyptis belonging to my friend's daughter." Taro's eyes widened. Then there were egyptis already living here. "Chronus, It can't wait any longer! I found a cocoon- er well more of given it." "Oh Taro! That's great! I'm sure Narka and Cyber Core will be happy to have more youngsters around!" "Narka and Cyber Core?" "My first egyptis and her mate. Now show me that cocoon." Taro relutantly and carefully took the cocoon out of her backpack. Narka chose this moment to make her entrace. "Auntie? Is that... a real live egyptis?" Taro said in awe. Then to her amazment, it was the egyptis who answered her. "I'm just as real as you." the spring green egyptis graefully lept up beside Chronus and began waving her five tails as Chronus began petting her. "Taro meet Narkalenia." Her aunt turned to the egyptis and asked her somthing, then placed the cocoon infrot of the egyptis, who placed her paw on it and concentrated for a bit. "Ah! Your Neice has been blessed! There is not one, but two cubs in here! Both female, and of a tribe I am not Famil-" She broke off as the cocoon shuddered. "It's going to hatch!" Chronus said as Taro dived for it, thinking the egyptis had hurt it in some way. Taro stopped mid dive and placed the cocoon on her lap as it shuddered and cracks started to appear. Then, with one final movement, it split and out tumbled two beautiful female cubs. They yawned and streched and sat infront of Taro, who's eyes watered up as she gather the fluffy Cubs into her arms for licks and cuddles. "I will call you... Once upon a dream, and Just a Fairy Tale." "Fitting I think," said Narka "For that is what they told me they were to be called."
