Italian Beef Sandwiches
Modified from Quick Cooking

 

***Needs a Crock Pot***

 

1 beef roast (4 ½ lbs), cut into half

1 can (14.5 oz) beef broth
1 can (12 oz) beef broth
1 cup water
¼ cup cider vinegar
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 envelope Italian salad dressing mix
1 garlic clove, minced
1 ½ tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
10 Italian sandwich rolls, split
Place roast in slow cooker.  Combine broth, beef, water, vinegar, soup mix, salad dressing, garlic, oregano and basil; pour over roast.  Cover and cook on low 7-8 hours or until meat is tender.  Remove roast.  Shred with two forks.  Return to slow cooker and heat through.  Using a slotted spoon, spoon meat onto each roll.  Juices can be a dipping sauce.

Makes 10 servings.
