Here are some ways to keep yourself safe from scammers...with all the hacks that have been going on lately.

1. Never give out your password to anyone. I know that this is constantly repeated on the site...but it is extremely important.
2. If possible...change your password every few weeks. I know this may not be possible on neopets however.
3. In the event that you do get hacked, report it immediately. (See the link for the contact information)
4. Look at the neopets wall of shame for ways people are using to hack into your account.
5. Do not go into weird pages on the site and the guild...these could be ways to hack you.
6. If a person wants something you bought from their store...make sure it was their shop and always use the island trading post to trade.
7. Never write your password down where someone could see (like on your organizer for school)-many people are on neopets and anyone at school could have an account.
8. Even if they are your friends never tell them your password.
