| The Club The Queen's Recreational Equestrian Club offers English hunter-seat equitation lessons for all rider levels - beginner to advanced.. There is one session per semester, with 8 lessons per session. Each lesson is for one hour, once a week on weekday afternoons and evenings, as well as weekends. Transportation is NOT included in the club fee. However, some club members share a cab with other riders in their lesson, while some are lucky enough to have someone with a car and who is willing to drive that rides with them. Facilities include two local stables - Maple Lane Stables and Dream Catcher Farm - both of these locations are approximately 15-20 min of campus. Both stables have indoor arenas as well as well-trained school horses, but the opportunity may exist for more advanced riders to school privately owned horses. Flatwork and jumping are emphasized at both of these locations. Don't hesitate to email us at Equestrian@gogaelsgo.com if you have any questions! | Sign-ups and Cost We run sign-ups for lessons within the first 2 weeks of each semester. All members MUST attend sign-ups to get a spot regardless of past participation. Payment includes eight lessons. There is room for one make-up lesson at the end of each session. The cost for each semester is $215.00, and this covers your eight lessons. There is also the minor cost of membership fees, which is only $10.00 for students. All fees must be paid at sign-up times. Cheques can be made out to "Queen's Equestrian Club". Please have the exact amount when paying in cash as it is unlikely that we will have change. |
