This page is dedicated to those denizons of high camp, The Screen Queens, Drama Queens and Divas who are the Queens of camp. It charts in words, pictures and sounds these powerful women from their climb to the top, the struggles to stay there and all too often the slide into carricature, camp and in some cases farce. All too often it is the slide from grace that finds them at their campest best. Whilst i have respect for many of these womens early work, it is at the height of their camp I find them most interesting. Call it morbid curiosity or a ghoulish sense of grand guignol but i cant resist a queen on the skids! I hope you enjoy the queens of camp!
