When we were young, we looked up to our parents and grandparents, not because they were older but for who they were and what they meant in our lives. How they touched our hearts and memories.

And as we ourselves began to get older, it hit us that someday we would be old too! Most just brushed aside the thoughts of our mortality, but a few began to realize we were aging with each new day. We started to watch how older people were treated.

Shocked at the disrespect that our generation treats an older or handicapped person, I just had to try to impress on everyone; 'there but for the grace of God, go I.'

The stories here were written from my heart with the inspiration of the people whose lives have crossed my life path. Whether the inspiration was in a nursing home, a person I saw on the street, or a member of my own family...I decided that if the story was written from the point of view of that person, you would better understand how they really feel.

I do hope, that after reading one of my stories, you will be more respectful and loving to those who feel so alone, mentally and physically!

Below are pages that spiritually touch my heart. When the author is known, credit is given...sad to say some I don't know who wrote them, but if you do, please let me know and I will give credit where credit is due!
