The sun was beating down harshly on the occupants of the large
white boat. The boat, labeled, the S.S. Minnow, was floating peacefully
beside the dock. Ken Tsukino, the skipper was getting the sails ready.
"Melvin, what are you doing right now?! You know you are
supposed to be helping me get the boat ready for the tour!" Mr. Tsukino
yelled out loud.
"Sorry, Mr. Tsukino, coming right away," Melvin said hurriedly.
While he was running to go help Mr. Tsukino, he stumbled and sprawled
face down on the deck. He got back up, dusting off his striped shirt.
He pulled his fishing hat down tighter 'round his head.
"Dad, I'm going to go the bakery real quick okay? I'll be back
in five minutes, promise!" Serena exclaimed as she ran off down the
boat. She looked back and waved to her dad. Mr. Tsukino smiled. His
daughter was the one thing in his life that had gone right. She was
always perputually happy, spreading her warmth to others. Even though
it had always been just the two of them since his wife, Irene passed
away, when Serena was only three years old. Now she was 17 and turning
into quite a beautiful woman. Mr. Tsukino turned back around to finish
managing the sails.
Serena skipped along happily gazing at all the familiar sights
around her. The odor of fresh fish caught her breath and she wrinkled
her nose. She waved to all the people she knew along the way, laughing
merrily. People couldn't fail to notice that Serena was like the sun
herself, so warm and cheerful. The guys also couldn't help but notice
that Serena was indeed one heck of a knock-out. Serena, soon came upon
the bakery and glided in.
"Well, hey there Serena. What's up? Let me guess. You guys are
about to do another tour and you want to get a...cinnamon swirly bun,
and a mocha frappucinno before you guys cast off right?" Ms. Haruna
asked Serena warmly. Ms. Haruna had been managing this quaint bakery by
the seaport for almost five years now and Serena was one of her regular
customers.
"You got it Ms. Haruna. Another three hour boat trip. Same as
usual, you know," Serena replied happily. They talked some more, she
got her food, paid, and made her way back towards the ship. As she was
walking, she looked up towards the sky, basking in the warm sunlight.
She didn't even notice the man she was about to collide with.
"Ohmygosh! I'm so sorry sir. I wasn't looking. I'm so sorry,"
Serena said despairingly. She had spilled a substantial amount of her
frappuccino on the man's white shirt. She glanced up, only to look into
a pair of cold, dark-blue orbs. They glittered with a strange light and
he kept giving her that intense look.
"You're sorry?! What a klutz! Why don't you look where you're
going next time, you're sorry isn't going to take away the coffee stain.
What is your problem...Meatball Head?!" Darien bit out harshly. Stupid,
why did I yell at her like that? That was way harsh, even for me. He
had been so stupified by her beauty, he did what came easiest for him.
Keeping his emotions hidden behind a cold mask. Darien couldn't help
but feel mesmerized by her cerulean blue eyes that sparkled like stars.
Her gold and silky long hair was gathered and flowing from two buns on
her head. She had a body many girls would kill for, all the curves in
the right places, and long, slender legs.
"Meatball Head?! I said I was sorry. You don't have to be such
a jerk about it!" Serena yelled back. And with that she turned and fled
along the path down to the docks. I hope I never see him again, she
thought. Oh, who am I kidding? The man is drop-dead gorgeous. But he's
nothing but an jerk. Serena could still picture those beautiful blue
eyes, the fine contours of his face. He had been tall, well-built, and
really, really handsome. No, just put the guy out of your mind. What a
jerk. Don't be fooled by looks. It's what's on the inside that counts.
(AN: Yeah, yeah. I know. Another overused cliche=) She walked back onto
the boat, her anger dissipating when she stepped back on board.
"Dad, I got you a cinnamon bun. I guess I'm not that hungry
anymore," Serena called out. She saw her father lumbering out from
between the masts, his dark-brown hair blowing softly in the sea breeze.
"Thanks, hun. The passengers should be arriving any minute. Why
don't you go ahead and get dressed up in uniform," her father advised
her.
"Sure thing Dad!," Serena said. With that, she scrambled below
deck to get dressed. The passengers did start arriving while she was
below. The variety of guests was strange, to say the least. A woman
strutted on-board, her high heels clumping loudly on the boat. She had
short, wavy auburn hair. Her eyes were the color of turquoise and swept
her surroundings with boredom. A pair of rather expensive sunglasses
sat upon her head. Her attire consisted of cut-off jean shorts, a blue,
button-up blouse, and white sneakers. She had Melvin carrying her
suitcases. Mr. Tsukino glanced over and wondered what in the world the
girl had all that stuff for. Then his eyes seeked out the rest of the
passengers. Next came a man who was burdened down with suitcases galore,
while apparently his wife strode out happily in front of him. From
their dress, they appeared quite wealthy. Then last but not least, a
young man of perhaps 20, slowly walked on-board. His ebony black hair
and dark-blue eyes flashed underneath the sunlight. He was carrying a
briefcase with him and a small bag. Strangely, his white shirt had a
rather large brown stain spread over it.
"Well, I'm glad to see all of you here. If you'll put your bags
away to the side. We will begin our tour momentarily. My name is Ken
Tsukino, the skipper of this vessel. My helping hand is Melvin Umino
over there. I'll introduce you to your tour guide. My daughter, Serena
Tsukino," Mr. Tsukino beamed proudly. Serena stepped out from behind
him and beamed at her passengers. She was dressed in a short, navy-blue
skirt. Her matching navy-blue shirt had a minature gold anchor
emblazoned on the left breast pocket. And to top it all of, she had a
small sailor hat nestled inbetween the buns on her head. She was
beaming at her customers until her eyes settled upon a pair of
disoriented blue eyes. What?!, Darien thought. She's the tour guide?
Meatball Head? You've got to be kidding me! Ugh! What in the world is
that self-absorbed moron doing aboard my dad's ship?, Serena wondered.
She slowly pasted a smile back on her face.
"Yes, welcome everyone. We will be taking a 3 hour tour around
the nearby islands. They are some of the most beautiful and lush
islands you will find in this part of the globe. We sincerely hope you
enjoy your tour and if we can be of any assistance, don't hesitate to
ask us for help. And right now, if I could get all of you introduce
yourself and tell us a little about yourself. We want to make certain that all
our guests feel comfortable with one another," Serena stated.
"Hi, I'm Molly Osaka. I'm looking forward to this, even though
I know it seems I don't. I just needed to get away from it all. I'm a
movie star from Hollywood," Molly said calmly. She beamed at everyone.
Serena rushed over to where Molly was standing and enveloped
her in a big hug.
	"I knew I recognized you. I wasn't certain though, because I
figured, why in the world would you be on our boat tour of all things?
You're such a wonderful actress. And you're so beautiful and kind,"
Serena joyously said. Molly grinned back at Serena.
"Well, I'm really glad I'm here now. Thank you so much for
saying all those nice things," Molly replied.
"Hi, I'm Andrew Furuhata and this is my wife Rita. We're here
because Rita and I received excellent recommendations to try your tour.
We know we'll enjoy it immensely," Andrew said.
"Hello, my name is Darien Chiba. I'm a college professor. I
decided to come on this tour because I feel like I needed some time to
get back in touch with the wonders of nature," Darien said softly, the
whole time gazing into Serena's own blue depths. She blushed furiously
and glanced away quickly. One minute he's a jerk, now he's the perfect
gentleman, Serena thought, I give up.
A few minutes later, everyone had put away their belongings and
settled into their own areas on the boat. The boat started out onto the
quietly churning waters of the ocean. Serena stood at the helm, her
golden strands lifted by the gentle sea breezes. Darien was sitting
down some distance from her, yet he couldn't seem to take his eyes off
of her. He suddenly yawned and languidly stretched his arms over his
head. Man, he thought. This is going to be one long tour.
Little did he know, that this was indeed, probably to be the
longest tour he had ever taken.

Well minna-chan, I hope all of you enjoyed that. I really do. Arigato
Ely-chan for her support of my fic so far. Hehehe. Please everyone, if
you have any flames, comments + critical, just e-mail me. Ja ne!
