My Mother: My Hero By: Callista Matthews Rated: G My mom is the greatest mom I could ever ask for She knows when she has to be my mom, the authoritarian, And when to be my friend, the confidant. She's there when I need her, She's there when I don't need her. She's just there to help me go though my life In the smoothest way possible by avoiding the mistakes she made And learning from the mistakes that she hadn't made in her childhood. I'm a teenager, I'm just fifteen years old. My mom is forty. I might have the youth she doesn't have, But she has the life experiences that I lack. I think a mom is someone we can always run to When the whole world has turned its back on us. She's someone we can expect to understand us When nobody else seems to. She was there to tend to our scraped knee when we fell off the bike She was there to tend to our tears when we fell off the pedestal. She is here when we loose our faith in what we always thought as the truth, She is here when we loose our faith within ourselves. She's one we can always depend on When there's no one else there. All I need to know, If there's only one that I could know, Is that my mom is always there. In spirit or physically, We can depend on Mom to be there. What do ya think? I love my mom to pieces and I thought I'd make this year's Mother's Day something to remember. Email me! Quirkygirl2002@aol.com
