<><> MARGIE'S COOKIN' CORNER:<><>
Hello... and thank you for logging in to our website today. I had a nice Mother's Day. Our youngest son, Tim, treated Sam and I to a delicious Mother's Day Dinner at Kings Restaurant in Somerset. Our church service was also good as we paid tribute to the Mothers of our church and gave them the praise and honor they deserve. I have some recipes that I hope you will enjoy.

<><><><><> MARGIE'S RECIPES <><><><><>
<><><><><> HAM AND CHEESE FOLDOVER SANDWICHES. <><><><><>
INGREDIENTS: 2 cups Original Bisquick mix / 1/2 cup boiling water / 2 tsp. Dijon mustard / 8 oz. deli shaved cooked ham / 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese ( 4 oz.) / 1 egg / 1 Tbsp. water.
(1) Heat oven to 375 degrees. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray. Stir Bisquick mix and boiling water with spoon until dough forms. Divide dough into quarters. Place on surface sprinkled with Bisquick mix; roll in Bisquick mix to coat. Press each piece into 6 inch square 1/4 inch thick.
(2) Spread 1/2 teaspoon of the mustard on each dough square to within 1/2 inch of edges. Top with ham and cheese to within 1/2 inch of edges. Fold each square diagonally in half. Press edges with tines of fork to seal. Place on cookie sheet.
(3) In small bowl, beat egg and water. Brush over sandwiches. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
NOTE: If you desire you can serve with a side of mustard dipping.

<><><><><> CHOCOLATE-RASPBERRY CHEESECAKE BARS. <><><><><>

In large bowl, beat cake mix and butter with electric mixer on low speed until crumbly; reserve 1 cup. Press remaining crumbly mixture, using floured fingers, in bottom of pan.
(2) In sam bowl, beat cream cheese, yogurt and frosting on medium speed until smooth. Beat in eggs until blended. Pour over mixture into pan. Sprinkle with reserved crumbly mixture.
(3) Bake about 48 minutes or until center is set. Refrigerate uncovered at least 2 hours before serving. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows. Serve bars with a dollop of pie filling. Store covered in refrigerator.

<><><><><> GRANDMA'S ADVICE ON MARRIAGE. <><><><><>
(1) Trouble in marriage often starts when a man gets so busy earnin' his salt that he forgets his sugar.
(2) Too many couples marry for better or for worse... but not for good.
(3) When a man marries a woman, they become one... but the trouble starts when they try to decide which one.
(4) If a man has enough "horse sense" to treat his wife like a thoroughbred, she will never be an old nag.
(5) On anniversaries the wise husband always forgets the past, but never the present.
(6) A foolish husband remarks to his wife, "Honey, you stick to the washin', ironin', cookin', and scrubbin'... No wife of mine is gonna work."
(7) The bonds of matrimony are a good investment only when the interest is kept.
(8) Many girls like to marry a military man... he can cook, sew, make a bed, and is in good health... and he's already used to taking orders.
(9) Whether a man winds up with the nest egg or a goose egg depends a lot on the kind of chick he marries. <

<><><><><> A GREAT RECIPE FOR LIFE. <><><><><>
(1) Take a 10 - 30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
(2) Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Talk to God about what is going on in your life.
(3) Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
(4) Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you can't control. INSTEAD, invest your energy in the positive present moment.
(5) Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
(6) Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
(7) Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
(8) No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
(9) Forgive everyone for everything.
(10) However, bad a situation is, IT WILL CHANGE.
