Every night a hare falls asleep
Praying for heavy rainfalls,
Hoping for new grass to grow.
Everyday a hare wakes up
Looking for something green to eat.
Beguiling strength to outrun predators
Everyday in mid-Africa,
A beauteous gazelle wakes up.
Thinking: "I must run faster today"
Faster than the lion, to stay alive
Every morning a lion wakes up.
Thinking: "I must outrun the gazelle"
Frequently it might live on water and air.
Does it matter if it starves to death?
Whether it's a lion or a hare...
Dashing from a lion or a gazelle...
When the sunrises at dawn.
Better start learning to run faster and faster.
