MADEIRA ISLAND (Portugal) November'99

Volcanic island situated into the North of Canary Islands, in the Atlantic Ocean. With 1861 m. in Pico Ruivo mountain, it is a very mountanious island. The most interesting to visit are: its sauvage vegetation, its sceneries and rockies over the sea. Villages have their attractives: in Santana the visitor will find interesting houses, in Porto Moniz volcanic swiming-pools, in Monte the typical hand-made cars descens (carros) and in Funchal, the capital, its markets, gardens, parks and hotels.
