I'm Scots, Glaswegian, interested in the way the world turns; music (not only Dub) from all over; poetry (see the samples) of various styles, particularly Lemn Sissay, Wm. Blake, Louis MacNeice, Linton Kwesi Johnson,Bertold Brecht, Tuomas Anhava and the Beat Poets, among others; football; art and I'm studying computing cos my muscles are too knackered for heavy work these days.
I used to work in theatre (stage crew), where my favourite play that I worked on was "Good" by C.P.Taylor. It's about patriotism, joining (in) Parties, and singing to hide your troubles and fears among other things. It is one, I think, that should be on permanent tour - particularly in troublespots around the world - where people get carried away with their national identities and egos.
I'm sure William Blake had something to say about the subject..try reading Songs of Innocence and Experience, or his Prophecies or thoughts on True Religions.
