The images below were created from single frames of Super 8mm film I shot at Bridgehampton in the summer and fall of 1969. The original quality was quite grainy so I imported them to Photoshop and tried to make them into "art". Time blurs the memory. I believe they are captioned correctly. |

John Surtees at the wheel of the Chaparral McLaren M12. This car was substituted for the team's 2-H which wasn't quite ready for "prime-time" in the opinion of the driver. He more or less forced Jim Hall to buy the McLaren until the 2-H was modified to his liking. Needless to say, Surtees and Hall did not get along too well. |
