Here at Rick's Pit Box, we're constantly on the lookout for things to enhance the sim racing experience; whether it be a new or converted track to race on, graphics enhancements, or some other modification that doesn't fall under the general category of "cheating".  To be more specific, the enhancements should be "user-developed", as opposed to something commercially available.  Finding these enhancements on the internet usually means doing a lot of "link chasing", looking at message boards, etc. Of course, we're always open to suggestions; if you've come across something unique that enhances sim racing, in general, or Nascar Racing 2002 Season, specifically, feel free to email me.
Rick's Pit Box Award
KKenny Leak aka Felix wins first Rick's Pit Box Award
People who have been around the online sim racing leagues for a while, most likely have come across Felix's name.  Currently, he is active in HORL and was active in SCPRC and PRC, before that; he has also participated in, and won, the Ironman series.  His distinctive black, white and red, #14 Dodge, with the huge Felix the Cat logo on the hood and Racers Domain on the rear quarter panels, is easy to spot -- usually done from the back or as he rolls past on his way to the front.  Felix is a sim racer's sim racer, who spends countless hours practicing, developing setups and winning races.  One of the requirements of being such a racer, is being comfortable at the controls and Felix has done his homework here, too.  For a closer look at the world according to Felix, visit his site -- Team Felix -- where you'll find, among his accomplishments, the reason for our decision to give him our first award.  Found in the Hardware section, it's called Custom Cruise Control and Felix provides some excellent photos and a description of what it does.  Quite simply, it's a three-way toggle switch and dial knob, wired into the throttle circuit, which allows the driver more precise control over throttle position and function.  This is not a cheat device!! It is, in my opinion, one of the slickest pieces of gadgetry I've come across, a sim racing enhancement built for comfort and speed.  But, don't take my word for it; see it for yourself.  Congratulations, Kenny, for coming up with the design, very worthy of our first award.
