The NEW HAMPSHIRE GAZETTE is the oldest continuously published newspaper in the United States, having been founded in 1756 by one Daniel Fowle.  Recently, this august publication compiled its "ChickenHawk Database."

The database is a listing of male names mostly belonging to public personalities. Individuals names are lsited in the database because they share three characteristics:
1. bellicosity (a warlike manner or temperament);
2. public prominence; and,
3. a curious lack of wartime service when others their age had no trouble finding the fight.  The fact that they all share a particular political philosophy (most are members of a single poliitcal party whose name starts with "R") is, well, curious, don't you think?

Some of the characters populating this list could make the planet a brighter, happier place by leaving it.  Visit the list and decide who'll be your magickal project of the month!

Three MINERSVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA Police officers threatened to inform eighteen year-old Marcus Wayman's family that he was gay.  Rather than face the prospect of  homophobic rejection by his family, Marcus committed suicide.  A state court found the police officers involved 'not guilty' of bringing about Marcus' tragic death in 1997. 

Nonetheless, we feel that the officers involved (Chief of Police Joseph Wilinsky, his son Officer Scott Wilinsky, and Officer Thomas Hoban) need to be called to account for their 'verbal murder.'  Perhaps an appeal by Union members to a higher court would bring about these individuals' rightful disposition?
