THE ROCK THAT BLEEDS

There was a Rock, a Cornerstone
That was rejected, scorned, and left alone
On His head was placed a crown of thorns
And as they beat Him, His clothes were
Ripped and torn
The blood from His head ran into His eyes
And washed away the tears He cried.
Not for Himself, but for you and I He prayed
As they nailed Him to the cross that day
He heard the crowd cry crucify
As Jesus, the Rock, bowed His head and died
Just bow your heart and you can know
Of the blood that washes white as snow
Just ask and believe and you will receive
From Jesus, the Cornerstone
The Rock that bleeds

Then Jesus said,
" Father, forgive them; for they know what they do. "
Luke 23:34

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief
Cornerstone;
Ephesians 2:20

..........for they drank of that spiritual
Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
1 Corinthians 10:4
