Heaven has a nursery All colored pink and blue It's full of precious children Maybe one belongs to you Some have felt a mother's touch Have heard her whisper I love you, oh so much But for reasons we may never know The Father chose to call them home Over them an angel stands As they sleep cradled in the Father's hand Some are taken before their time I wish I did but I don't know why They never had a chance to smile or cry But they're smiling now Even laughing out loud As they bounce around on Big fluffy clouds Some have felt a mother's touch But not with gentleness and love They never heard a kind word spoken Just their bodies bruised And their hearts broken They're safe now in the Father's care An angel weeps as she holds them near Rocking them gently in her arms She softly sings a lullaby To each and every one |
