GOING  HOME
He said," Come on in,
Take off your shoes ,"
As He brushed back His hair
He said, " Hello, how are you?
I'd like to welcome you here. "
The love in His eyes showed me
How much He cared.
The scars in His hands
Shone with a bright glare.
I saw blood in the sand
Where it poured from His side,
He said, " I've been waiting for you,
It's been a long time,
For before you were born
I marked you as Mine.
I saw your heart
As it was ripped and torn,
I saw the tears you cried
When you felt so alone,
But  I've always been there
Right from the start
And I know you tried
For I know your heart. "
I fell to my knees
For I could not stand
In the presence of God
In the presence of  the Man
Who , with His precious blood
Washed away my sins
And filled me with His love.
As He opened His arms
My tears began to fall
He reached out His hand
And gently dried them all
He said, " Well done, My child
You've come home. "
