Special memories from her daughter Stella.

My sister loved her Lord Jesus,
her mother, her children, her grandchildren,
her four sisters, and her one brother.
She loved butterflys and my poetry.
I believe she was my greatest fan.
She was a blessing to me in my darkest hours.
Sister you are sorely missed.
Wait for me at the gate.

John 14:2,3
In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

But I would not you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. For we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of an arch-angel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

	The memories of my mother are many..her love for me and my brothers and family and friends, her laughter,her love for the Lord. I could tell of many things but will tell of these 2 very special memories. She had already been turned over to hospice by her doctors. The heart disease and many heart attachs and congestive heart failures had damaged her heart so much that there wasn't anything else to do..Every night I would get her ready for bed and we would talk and she'd remove her glasses as I stood at the door ready to turn out the light. One night as she removed her glasses and we were saying our goodnights, she said "Oh Oh wait a minute, I forgot to take my birth control pill" We roared and laughed so hard that tears began to run down our cheeks...It had been a long time since our laughter was so loud..of course my mother was 56 and children were out of the question..it was her pain pill that she had forgotton to take. I will never forget her laughter. The very special second thing I can always remember is the day before she went home to be with Jesus. I have always heard that angels come to take His children home but never experienced really knowing. Her sister Elizabeth had a dog named Bisquet..she was a precious dog. Mother had, had a major stroke during the night and we realized it had happened , we called her hospice nurse in. As her nurse and myself stood in her bedroom we looked at Bisquet sitting and staring up at a blank wall with such awe and reverence..and we both knew that she could see the angel that would be taking my mother home at 8:25am the next morning. Such a joy and peace knowing that she went home on angels wings, home to be with the one she loved the most, Jesus. Waiting for her was my first born, Charles, who died at three days old, her son Stephen that died at child birth, her daddy and step dad, her sister Nettie, her brother in law, Dwain, and her grandparents..and a host of family and friends that will be someday waiting for me. What a family reunion it will be. Thanks for letting me share my precious memories of my mother. God Bless, Stella Green
