MERCY ON THE CROSS
It was Mercy on the cross for me
It was Mercy who set me free
The judge, I was to face
With no one to take my place
For I was the guilty one
Sentenced to die for the wrongs I done
But, Jesus stood, stretched out His arms
And  said " Take Me , do her no harm
What is her crime, what has she done
Put them all on Me, every one"
Yes, I'm the one that should have died
But it was Him, they crucified
It was Mercy on the cross for me
He gave His life, His very blood
That, my friend, is real true love
His precious blood fell on me
Washed me clean and set me free
In my heart, He'll ever live
And my life, to Him I give
For it was Mercy on the cross for me
