The sun rose,
And I was sad,
Filled with anger and depression,
Driven almost mad.

The sun set,
I lay down in bed,
Even dipping into dreams,
I wished that I was dead.

But as I was sleeping,
It rained across the land,
Each droplet held my pain,
And made a rainbow in my hand.

I woke with the sun,
Rubbed color into my eyes,
And then when I looked up,
Saw nothing but blue skies.

Things are never easy,
This I already knew,
But I dared to live another day,
Just look how much I grew!
