Heartbreak
Soundless cries follow my flight, bare feet and salty tears of sorrow forming the path of where I have been as I chase the dying day toward the end of my world.  Highborn leaves of gold rustle with their laughter, calling out the many lessons that I never should have forgotten.
Waterfalls wind their way down my cheeks, trailing for a moment in weightless splendor before crashing to the unforgiving ground, splattering like grim mirrors of my heart.  As the many times before, the light fades away from sight, leaving me alone with renting cries torn from my own throat, and a lonely river of my own creation.  I am left listening to a world with that makes no sound, watching a world that holds no light.
