Marikalay is a physically petite woman, a mere 5' tall, with a slim and slightly curved figure. Her features are delicately formed and hold a sort of childlike innocence in them. She always wears her mid-back length brown hair down, and her large and expressive brown eyes constantly have a dreamlike quality to them. She is always attractively and modestly dressed, usually in simple but lovely gowns.
Self-effacing and quiet, Marikalay is sometimes mistaken for a child. She blends into the background very well, and goes unnoticed more often than she is mistaken for a child.
Despite her shy attitude, almost nothing escapes her notice or her tendancy to write everything down. She is highly intelligent and almost fanatically loyal to whomever she chooses to call her lord or lady. At the request of the person she is loyal to, she will fulfill any task of which she is capable, or will find someone to take care of it.
She views all things and people as being of extra-ordinary beauty, and holds within her heart a sort of boundless love that encompasses all of creation without focusing on any single person or thing. Her interpersonal relationships are uncomplicated by lust, though as a recluse she sometimes misunderstands the boundaries of propriety.
Marikalay, as a priestess and a pacifist, carries no weapons and knows no offensive magic. She doesn't mind being ignored, as she has been alone - at least with concern to the living - for most of her 4,000 year life, and when she thinks no one is watching she can be found sitting somewhere with a view, singing softly to herself. |
