Reverent
    The ruins covered with a blanket of silence most profound rise around me, pushing against my mind as if it were the living master here, carrying all of eternity on its back.  All those buildings that once touched the sky glower at me now in crumbled ruins, as if scolding me for my intrusion of their solitude.
     Reverent, I continue, my heart full of apology even as I know I must see what is here to see, must see the paths taken by those who were once here.
