Personality- A’led is a distrusting person. He distrusts anyone he doesn’t know. Once he gets to know the person he is a good friend and is fiercely protective of women. He will help any woman in trouble as the rebellion proved. He is a fierce fighter; he had a friend in the watchtower who taught him how to fight.
History- Areled was born with his characteristic white hair, to a fourteen turn old drudge and an abusive warder. His mother raised him with help from some of the older drudges, keeping him a secret from his father. Garled’s sexual taste was young girl, which made Areled mad. His mother was continually abused by Garled which resulted in a sister for Areled four turns after his birth. Arean made sure that Areled knew who his father was. When Areled was fourteen turns he made friends with a watchtower guard. The guard taught him how to fight with a sword. Unfortunately Garled learned about his secret son and had the guard killed. Areled took up his old friend’s sword and plotted revenge. He was about to implement his plan when he was searched by Fort riders. He lived his candidate live for two turns till he impressed bronze Rath. He had never been truly happy in his sorry life, but the moment Rath’s mind touched his he melted and cried tears of happiness, not of sorrow. He carried his sword into the fight against thread every time Fort flew. He would charge headlong into the smoldering stuff with his sword aloft and Rath bugling defiance. He gathered a large group of friends at the Weyr when his plan suddenly sprung back to his mind. He told his friends about the plan and they agreed to help. They gathered a large number of weapons, bows, swords and daggers and flew into Fort Hold, secretly dropping off the weapons with the drudges. They were ready for an attack on the hold. Unfortunately Garled found out about the attack and gathered himself some soldiers. The rebellion was short and brutal, with A’led leading with his sword aloft the drudges won. An accident had happened though, and when A’led was found in the warder’s quarters. The other riders said Garled had fallen on his own sword. A’led was summarily dismissed from Fort Weyr. He left for Raek Weyr in the mountains.
