The World...

We are in an age where distances have less impact on the decisions we make about our relationships with other peoples and cultures. The fact is, the issues we care about within our borders are in reality greatly affected by events, economies and demands from peoples outside our borders. It is foolish for Americans to continue to believe that passive non-participation makes us safer and stronger.

Issues, such as the ability for a family in China to afford buying a car, are crucial to our ability to have low gas prices. The population of China can easily inflate the price of gasoline if their economy booms and households in China begin driving more cars.

To fully assess the factors involved in our own situation, we must carefully analyze the world situation.
