Peruvian drinks and wines


In every region of Peru you can found local alcoholic and non alcoholics drinks made of zone fruits and grains.

Peru coast is a narrow desertic line crossed by many rivers coming from andes where you can find many valleys cultivating fruits (like grapes) and another vegetables (apple, etc). Beer - The alcoholic drink is "cerveza" (beer) nationwide consumed pilsen type and some people prefer malta type (cerveza negra).
Chicha morada - Is the most common drink in coast, is non alcoholic made of purple corn, piņa, sugar and some lemon, boil corn and piņa, let it cool, add sugar and juice of a lemon per liter, add ice and drink!
Chicha de Jora - A sweet ferment of jora fruit with a low alcoholic content. The seeds of jora are boiled and sweeted with "chancaca", a mass of sugarcane (caņa de azúcar)juice. The chicha are cooled, bottled and buried for a week or a few more days if you want more alcohol but careful, you can agriate the chicha.
Ron - With cana de azucar, is prepared "ron" (rum) distilling sugar juice and storing in roble wood pipas (tonel) for 12 years, there is "ron rubio" of a gold color and "blanco" cristaline rum.
Pisco - In south coast some km inside you found the wine region of Ica There is prepared all wine types and "pisco", the pisco is a peruvian drink.
In the Andes zone are prepared fermented fruit drinks like sidra and anisado, you can taste in some local parties a hot drink called "calientito" (hottie) made with tea, rum or pisco.
Amazon region is the more diverse in the world, you must go and seek for local drinks made of fruits, woods and vegetables mainly fermented called "macerados" like chuchuhuasi, 7 raices, and multiple afrodisiac beberages.
