We are at a very important moment in time in our evolutionary history. We have reached a point in our development that is akin to puberty. We have been , as a race, in our evolutionary infancy. The infant is not concerned with the world around itself . It is primarily concerned with feeding its own impulses and desires. This has been the path that we have crawled on for millenia ,but now we have reached a point where we can stand up on our two feet and get a much broader view of the world around us and see how we fit into the bigger picture. This phase of our evolution is the development of mind. The evolving of our very consciousness. Humanity has long been on a course of self destruction in the sense that its actions are not thought out to the point where their ramifications are adequately examined. This impulsive and selfish nature has overshadowed our innate knowings and wisdom and kept us on a level where we have been merely feeding the ego and all of its self indulgent ways. This has left us in a certain perdicament that threatens to backlash on us if we are not going to change our ways; however, this is all a necessary step in our evolution. We only ever learn the hard way. Lessons are learned through our trial and error, and now we have come to the point where our environment forces us to accept our self created situations and acknowledge our narrow vision of our place in the cosmos.

Nothing ever changes unless acted on by an 'outside' hand, guiding or forcing the essence of what IS to evolve. Indeed the very nature of evolution would seem to be forced, to adapt to what goes on around and inside of that which IS. We cannot as race, fully step into our next wave  of evolution until all the components are in place. This means a fundamental reconstruction of our collectively accepted world view. We have come to a point where we are now evolving our ideas  and the minds from which they spring. There is no such thing as personal evolution per se, it is more of a co-evolution, every single factor in existance plays an integral role in the development of every other factor. We are all interelated pieces of the same puzzle, the same organism called universe. For us here on this planet, right now, in this perceived instant in time, this means that we as a race have to develope together, and as I will adress later, we are collectively accelerating our consciousness into a unified vision.

The idea of evolving consciousness is a self fullfilling prophesy. The more we focus our attention to developing a higher awareness, the more focussed we become, like excercising a new muscle  tuning into the details and seeing all sides, thus shedding light onto the otherwise darkened recesses of psyche, and illuminating our potential.It should be noted that it is not actually consciousness that is evolving , but our perception of that consciousness. This is not some kind of future prophecy but a perception of the influencing factors that are taking place right now as you read this.

The beginning of this shift has already occurred and is evolving every day, bit by bit, one person at a time until we are all aware at some level of the changes taking place within us and without us. Some people will use the chaotic state of the world as an argument against the possibility of humanity being on an upward evolution, but in reality this is just one of the visible effects of this shift taking place -now-. For those of us who are accepting of these ideas the shift should be a positive experience and one that is filled with illuminating details about one's self and humanity as a whole. We will become clear in our understanding of our emotions and our belief structures and the overall big picture that these forces play a part in. The other people, those who are not already on a path of self discovery will find this to be a most trying time indeed. People are becoming unstable because their whole foundations of being are being uprooted. That place from where their feelings and attitudes comes from is undergoing a major change, resulting in what appears as random chaos and psychological disorders etc. Their belief structures and world views are being challenged by the new inflow of information and broadening awareness that creeps into their unconscious minds, which causes confusion at the least, and at worst severe psychological trauma, psychosis and a general out of control attitude about things, caught up in the chaotic whirlwind of change that is tearing through the unstable fabric of their conditoned existance.

The shift itself is fundamentally about confronting and expelling all of the negativity we hold onto, collectively and personally. From my personal experience this has led to emotional disturbances as this energy has been released, but with careful vigilance and a desire to know ourselves honestly we can understand that the realese of this negativity is a positive experience that presents us with a new set of rules to live by. It sets us in motion to become whole in our being and not be at the whims of our emotions. It brings us closer together as we learn the true nature of ourselves and recognize the inherent unity and brotherhood that we as race possess.

There are many apocolyptic ideas of extinction and death by our own hand, but I feel that  very nature of evolution and self preservation will prevent this from taking place. Collectively  we have in our make up the strength of will and the wisdom to steer clear of total destruction. The imminent change that our race faces is indeed the destruction of our civilization. It is indeed an apocoplypse by very definition, but it does not mean that it literally needs to be decimated and leveled. To change life as we know it, the end of this life -as we know it-, is in effect an apocolypse, because the very things we cling to to define ourselves, our lives, and our universe will be uprooted and abolished, but the very nature of evolution and self preservation will prevent us from being destroyed utterly. The nature of evolution is change, a stepping stone process of adaptation and revision. What we are achieving right now is the creation of  the foundational cornerstone to the emergent properties of consciousness. In the near future we will be the people who are heralding in this dawning awareness.
