Is He A Good Husband? (Men, just change the pronouns, etc.!)

To be fair to your husband, please don't answer these questions unless you are emotionally calm and in a pleasant mood. Then study each question carefully before deciding "yes" or "no." If in doubt, give your husband the benefit -- he may need it!

1. Does he spend too much money on himself?

2. If he has an unpleasant temper, are you its target?

3. Does he ever shame or belittle you before friends?

4. Must you account for every penny you spend?

5. Does he drink, gamble or swear too much?

6. Is he interested in things you (and the children) do?

7. Does he inform you about his job or business?

8. When things are tough, does he gladly help you?

9. Does he accept and welcome visiting relatives?

10. Is most of his free time spent with you?

11. When alone, do you two have fun together?

12. Is it easy to talk things over with him?

13. Can he readily forgive your little mistakes?

14. Is he kind and affectionate to you (and the children)?

15. Is his income sufficient for the family's needs?

16. Would you want your sons to be like him?

17. Are most of his habits pleasing to you?

18. Is he interested in church or welfare activities?

19. Are you sure that he loves you?

20. If unmarried, would you want to marry him?

The first five questions should be answered No, the last fifteen Yes. If your correct answers total 16 or more, you have a good husband, far better than the average who scores only 12 or 13. A score of 10 or less is often, but not always, related to your imperfections as a wife.
