4-5-04 to 4-11-04

Belemon is able to counter Yoshimuri's attack with a Bartan Rift spell, sending the blast to the void between galaxies where it can disperse safely, only to find out that it was only a diversion!  The Feloran prince uses the magician's distraction as an opening for a physical attack.

The kid's become something else, Belemon thinks to himself.  He's not the same person right now.  That's not even anger in his eyes.  It's something cold...empty.  This isn't a sparring match anymore.  He won't stop until he's spilled blood.
Of course, he's still practicly a novice up against the Magician Prime.  Really, the only challenge for me now is stopping him
without killing him.  I don't suppose the little Empress would forgive me that one.
  "
Alright then," Belemon says as he begins to cast a new spell.  He is unable to finish it, however, as Yoshimuri presses his attack!
4-12-04 to 4-18-04
Belemon narrowly evades Yoshimuri the Third's attacks.
He's too fast.  I can't complete any complex spell.  Even worse, he's using my attempt as an opening for attack.
If I could distract him, even for a moment...

But the moment doesn't come, and the prince begins to break through Belemon's defenses.  The Minion, however, still has powers to call upon.  He activates the runes that he has inscribed all across the Feloran Capital, and they fill him with new strength!

4-19-04 to 4-25-04
As the battle becomes even more brutal, Kylie's concern reaches out to the orbiting Minion Titaenus.  The great ship then calls its Avatar, who was enjoying the (false) hospitality of Parthan and his desert nomads.  Heeding his master's call, the Avatar rushes off toward the capital.
Back at the arena, Warren attempts to intervene but is held back by the new ward that Belemon had constructed.  The four can only watch the vicious battle proceed.
