Chaos appears and pulls Belemon into a gaping void, seperating him from Everline. "So rude," the demon shouts. "Barging in when there's clearly no room! Too many in here as it is, but in you come anyway. What to do, what to do. An unwelcome guest that needs to be shown the way out, I think." The two fight on, and Belemon comes to believe that the demon was a manifestation of the seal, something that Skiff left behind to prevent tampering, but Chaos says otherwise. "I'm a bit tired of people thinking that guy could make something this delightful. Really, he had no imagination. He just gave us a little something to work with - to build on." |

Meanwhile, Titaenus bears Parthan ever closer to Ceres, and the Feloran party aboard L'tor's ship follows far behind. Regallan contemplates the possibility that his current host, Korin Elenian, could now carry him through eternity with the immortality that the Aelisir would provide. At the same time, Warren and Sif meet one of Warren's distant relations... |

Titaenus arrives at Ceres, and his Avatar brings Parthan down to the surface. Once within the labyrinth, Parthan suggests they split up to search more effectively. Once alone, however, he heads unerringly to the center... When Parthan arrives at the pool of the Aelisir, he finds someone he did not expect - Everline, who had been brought there through the power of the Inquiry. There is little she can do but watch, however, as Parthan steps forward toward the pool of mystic power. Just then, L'tor's ship and the Felorans aboard it arrive, only to find Titaenus hovering close over the asteroid. |
