Was there ever a time Someone held me near? Or have I suffered alone, Throughout the years. Little by little Pictures I see; Of a life full of turture - The victim is me. | Who is this woman in the mirror? I see her every day. She is a total stranger; Who needs to know the way. So much fear and woundedness That shows in her eyes. Who is this woman in the mirror, Hiding behind the empty disguise? The woman in the mirror is me! I try so hard to see - Which part I look at daily Is the part of me that's me. My emotions change in seconds; My thoughts are all erased. Everything is now changing - A new part to take my place. What happened to my fear? What happened to my pain? Who is this new person I see - That knows not even my name? I am this woman in the mirror - Who changes everyday. But will not give up the fight! I keep fighting in every way...... To know who I am. |
