Located in Helper, Utah Vea's Livestock has been raising boer goats since 1999 and has lived in Spring Glen for 32 years.. We began raising goats for milk in 1980. We only had a few for milk and to make cheese and our kids were involved with the 4H with goats, cows, sheep and hogs. Then in 1998 we heard about boers and when we saw them we had to get some. Since then we have been breeding for #1 hardiness, #2 milk, #3 muscle, #4 good feet, #5 color, #6 manageability and OVERALL-FUN! Our first black baby was born in 2004 from two traditional boers. When I saw it delivered I was amazed. I did not know that I would get such a thing from my bloodlines. Ever since then I looked for fullblooded blacks and finally found some in Texas. Now I have fullblooded blacks as well as some beautiful purebreds that are black, red, black paint, red paint and black headed. Our black seem to be a bit more hardy than our traditionals with less hoof trimming needed. They all have good milk and good mothering abilities. We are crossing them with our traditionals to get some good body mass along with the other characteristics. They are the most beautiful babies. Our bloodlines include: Sugar Ray, Hershey's Chocolate, Jet Blacks Lignite, Hershey's Black Beauty, Rooster, DSM Sir Edmund, Eggs Ryals (platinum) Ram H Tobias (platinum), Kaptein (platinum), LH Captain (permanent champion), DSM & B14 (bronze doe) Maximillion #861 (permanent champion), Oscar (national grand champion), DSM Cloud Dancing, Stallion, Eggsonerate* ennobled, Eggsorcist* (silver), Mzuri (gold), 96151003 (bronze), Eggsfile (platinum) Eggstrasensory (bronze) Leroy*, CCBG Earndhardt,, Chakatta, Ryals Top Brass*, 1036529RPD P463* and RPD RPD Magnums Beauty*, Hobby Prince P40 and Hobby Spanky Kishon P47.
