Aloha,
Yeah, that must definitely be a great experience seeing snow for the first time (for your girls). I have so many good memories of playing in the snow here when i was growing up. As I may have said, I am over visiting my mum on the island (SaltSpring) over my birthday. Man, I shouldn't have drank any coffee yesterday. It's nasty effect on me is still lingering. I'm so bad, sometimes, to myself.
Anyway, that's all good to hear about sunrider. I've been to their site a couple times and it certainly looks provocative. Health is such big business and so, well, healthy :-) I should actually send my sister here a link. She teaches school over here on the coast.
"Health is the first muse, and sleep is the condition to produce it" Ralph Waldo Emerson
I'm not quite sure why I wrote that in there, but I just like it. Emerson said so many neat things. Like, "mental health is finding the good in everything". Which really applies to me with so many lingering fears and doubts about my essential self-worth-expression, but I'm getting much better at it. I think its also a "modern" ill because we can all stand to slow down and relax more I suppose. I mean, I read something that asked the question or had "christ" asking the pivotal question "ok, so you know how to survive, but what are you surviving For?" And I suppose if I were to try to answer that question I would say that we are surviving to let our souls grow in us and to enjoy more and more the eternal creativity and beauty of such.
o.k. good. I may have actually picked my mood up today. *laugh. Thanks for listening. All the best to you as well, Tricia. And a special wish for your quixotic beau or boyfriend. (just as a lil aside, the Spanish literary character Don Quixote is famed for being able to find adventure in everything, which I suppose goes hand in hand with finding the good in everything).
Aloha !
Landon on the Island.
