Welcome to my Wiccan Rede page. I have three different writtings of the Rede listed here. 2 shorter ones and 1 long one. I like all of them but love the longer one. 1st is the longer one then the two short ones. The two short ones are very much alike. But before I do I'd like to share with you a short statement about my veiws, and a little history on Wicca. :)

Wicca it'self is a fairly modern practice. But Wicca is baised on the Pagan beliefs, which is thousands of years old. Gerald Garden in 1929 combined a variety of old traditons, beliefs, and mystiacl traditons. And so Wicca came about. Wicca is based on the old spiritual traditions and old religous belief system. Wicca's roots run back at least 5,000 years. The roots are traced to Pre Christian and to Neolithic Goddess cultures of ancient Europe. Wicca it'self may only date back 60 or so years, but it's roots are based on the old ways. Wicca is a way of living life through Paganism. It is a philosophy and also a belief system. It's also called the craft of the wise.We know that what we do will come back to us. Good or bad, it still comes back to us. Rather than our souls being punished forever, we get it back to us and go on with our lifes. So we are careful what we do. Most of us belive that when we die we go to Slumberland till we're to be born agin, and once agin live, but another life. We honor the Goddess and her Lord the Horned God. The Goddess is Mother Earth, and the God is father Sky. We respect all of nature and all living things. We do not kill animals or people. We do not use blood for our riturals. We do not curse people, turn them into frogs, or fly on broom sticks. And we have 8 hoildays, called Sabbats,That make up the wheel of the year. I have them listed on another page. 1st, Wiccan Rede. Bide the Wiccan laws we must, In perfect love in perfect trust, Live and let live, fairly take and fairly give, Cast the circle thrice about, To keep evil spirits out, To bind the spell everytime, Let the spell be spoke in rhyme, Soft of eye, light of touch, Speak little, listen much, Deosil go by waxing moon, Chanting out the witche's rune, Widder shins so by warning moon, Chanting out the baneful rune, When the Lady's moon is new, Kiss the hand to her times two, When the moon rides at her peak, Then your hearts desire seek, Heed the North wind's mighty gale, Lock the door and drop the sail, When the wind comes from the South, Love will kiss thee on the mouth, When the wind blows from the West, Departed souls will have no rest, when the wind blows from the East, Expect the new and set the feast, Nine woods in the cauldron go, Burn them fast and burn them slow, Elder by the Lady's tree, Burn it not or cursed you'll be, When the wheel begins to turn, Let the Beltaine fires burn, When the wheel turns to Yule, Light the log, and the Horned One rules, Heed ye flower, bush, and tree, By the Lady, Blessed Be, Where the rippling waters go, Cast a stone and truth you'll know, When ye have a true need, Hearken not to other's greed, With a fool no season spend, Lest ye be counted as a friend, Merry meet and Merry Part, Bright the cheeks and warm the heart, Mind the rules of three you should, Three time Bad and Three times Good, When misfortune is enow, Wear thy blue star on thy brow, True in love ever be, Lest thy lover's false to thee, Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill, An ye harm none, do as you will.

2nd, Wiccan Rede Bide the Wiccan laws we must, In Perfect love and Perfect trust, Eight words the rede fulfill, And ye harm none do what ye will, Lest in thy self defence it be, Ever mind the rule of three, Follow this with mind and heart, Merry Meet and Merry Part

3rd, Wiccan Rede Bide the Witch's law we must, In perfect love, in perfect trust, Eight words the Rede fulfill, An ye harm none do what ye will, What ye send forth comes back to thee, So ever mind the rule of three, Follow this in mind and heart, Merry Meet and Merry Part.
