2001 Meetings and Events
Audubon
Birds of the Columbia Breaks Fire Interpretive Center
Phil Archibald has just started his 3rd year of collecting monthly data
at the Columbia Breaks Fire Interpretive Center. Join the North Central
Washington Audubon Society on Monday, May 14th at the Cascade Natural
Gas building to hear Phil discuss his findings.
To date, Phil has seen 57
species at the Center. The high count was recorded in April with 26
species. All of Phil's work (data collection and compilation) is done
on a volunteer basis. This will be an excellent opportunity to learn how to
do meaningful citizen science.
This meeting will start with a potluck dinner. Please bring a hot dish,
a salad or a dessert, and a place setting. The potluck will start at 6:00
with the program following at 7:15. Come early to socialize with friends or
to meet some new ones.
The Cascade Natural Gas Building is at 614 North
Mission in Wenatchee. Non-Audubon members are welcome to attend.
Wenatchee Native Plant Society
All meetings will be the third Monday of the month, 7:00 pm, at the North Central Washington Museum
and Cultural Center at 127 South Mission, Wenatchee.
