I promise that I will do my best to love my God, serve the Queen and my country,*
to help other people and to keep the Guide Law

This is the promise made by every Guide, from whatever section, when she makes or renews her promise. Brownies say the same promise but with “Brownie Guide Law” and Rainbows say “I promise I will do my best to love my God and to be kind and helpful.” Rangers make the same Promise as other Guides, but also make an undertaking to be of service to the community. *Guides who live in the UK but do not consider it to be their native country may alter the phrase "my country" to "the country in which I live."
