Top Ten Best Things About Being Pagan
10. No conversion or recruitment is necessary.
Pagans have no insecure compulsion to convert everyone to their way of thinking. People come to Paganism when they're ready. Furthermore you are not required to accept or do anything you're not comfortable with.
9. No artificial code of morality.
Out of all the creatures on this earth, only humans are forced to live under unnatural moral codes. Pagans believe simply.
8. Progressive reincarnation.
Pagans believe we are here to learn and progress to another life, not suffer eternal damnation if we "slip up" in someone else's eyes.
7. No discrimination.
You don't have to be the "right" race, color, gender, sexual orientation, or national/ethnic origin to be Pagans; all are welcome.
6. No middle man (or woman).
Once you know the basics, you are your own minister. You need never bow before (or rely on) some religious dictator for spiritual guidance, you go straight to the source. You are "Priests and Priestesses" from the very first day. This applies even in a coven situation.
5. Be yourself.
By sharing a common interest with others in Paganism, you do not lose your identity as an individual. You are unique and can and should stay that way without becoming a blob in homogeneous mass.
4. No repression.
Pagans are not forbidden from reading, learning, eating, drinking, or saying anything. You can actually even disagree with something without being "excommunicated."
3. Contribution.
No, not money - knowledge. Paganism today has always, and will always, be an open religion. If it works, we use it. Then share it so all may benefit.
2. No rigid dogma.
Pagans do not believe that their path is the only path. The only true path is the one that is best for you; and all paths are valid.
1. Self-empowerment.
I personally view Paganism as the "Ultimate Self Help Tool." Feeling under the weather? low on cash? need to get ahead at work? protection? spiritual guidance? serenity? Peace? Inner satisfaction? A sense of love and togetherness with the Gods? Whatever you need you can get through Paganism
