1 lb. Hamburger | 1 Pkg. Onion Soup Mix |
1 Can Pork 'n' Beans | 2 Cans Kidney Beans |
2 Tbsp. Mustard | 2 Tsp. Apple Cider Vinegar |
½ Cup Water | * |
Brown Hamburger and drain. Mix all in crock pot. Ready to serve when warm. I usually let mine sit on low over night so the kidney beans suck up more flavor. I've been known to double and triple this recipe for picnics or parties.

2 large potatoes, peeled | 1 tablespoon oil |
1/2 onion, chopped | 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped |
1/2 teaspoon paprika | 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and finely chopped |
1 jalapeno chile, seeded and coarsely chopped | 1/2 tomato chopped |
1 pound green beans cut diagonally into 1-1/2 inch pieces | 1/4 cup water |
1 teaspoon soy sauce | 1/2 small red bell pepper, deribbed and thinly sliced |
Salt, to taste | * |
Slice the potatoes into sticks about the same size as the green beans. Set aside.
Heat the oil over high heat in a medium pan. Add the onion, garlic, paprika and ginger and saute for about 5 minutes, until the onion is soft.
Add the potatoes, jalapeno and tomato and stir-fry for about 5 minutes, until the tomato is dry.
Add the beans and water and simmer for about 8 minutes, until the beans and potatoes are just tender. Stir in the soy sauce and bell pepper. Season with salt
Enjoy!
