  Sabong is a centuries-old sport in the Philippines in which two or more specially bred rooster, known as gamecocks, are placed in an enclosure to fight, for the purposes of gambling and entertainment. A cockfight usually results in the death of one of the rooster; sometimes it ends in a draw. A typical cockfight can last anywhere from 10 minutes.
